About Margo North
Margo North is a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC),and Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling Supervisor (MPCCS) registered with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association. #1989
She is a Clinical Supervisor for new counsellors; reviewing cases and offering constructive criticism to ensure the public's safety, high standards of practise and the upholding of the Professional Code of Ethics!
A member of the Canadian College of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists. #1091
She received her training through the Counsellor Training Institute of Canada and has taken additional training through Dalhousie School of Social Work and other accredited Organizations and Associations. She continues to pursue professional development by attending workshops, seminars and conferences that are relevant and of value to her clients.
For two years she was a volunteer with Halifax Regional Police Victim Services On-scene Mobile Response Unit, offering support and resources to victims of domestic violence ,sudden death grief support ,suicide intervention, crisis intervention other crimes or trauma.
She currently volunteers with Hospice Society of Greater Nova Scotia, as a support group facillitator.
Margo is an integrative counselling therapist which means that she draws from more than one psychotherapeutic school of thought.
Margo serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the Atlantic Region of the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association.
